Proxy editing made easy
Edit HD recordings just as easily as DV recordings. The new proxy editing feature in Video Pro X5 automatically or manually creates a version of the video file that more suitable for editing. This enables a smooth workflow and playback even when working on Long-GOP footage and low performance computers. Complex projects with many realtime effects and tracks remain workable even when the processor is overloaded. Performance can be further enhanced using the new, additional options in the video monitor for deactivation effects and/or plug-ins as well as decreasing the frame rate and resolution. During export Video Pro X5 reverts back to the original file creating the perfect combination of optimized workflow and first-class output quality.

Optimized toolbar in the timeline
In response to customer feedback the toolbar in the timeline has been redesigned to optimize the workflow. The most important mouse modes are now accessible with a single click making the editing process faster and more efficient.

Multifunctional rendering dialog
MAGIX Video Pro X5 now offers a centralized progress control with all important information about disk space, exported data volume and required time estimates. The new rendering dialog is sure to impress with its multitude of new functions. There is now an option for shutting down the computer automatically after the rendering is finished. The dialog can also be minimized during rendering and the rendering process itself can be paused to allow other computer processes to run at full performance.

Neat video is an external plug-in that enables the most efficient noise removal that is currently available.
