Quality keys in a few clicks
The one-click Auto Compute is your key to the fastest... well, you know. Want more control? Use the three Select buttons to build a mask with only a few extra clicks. The Select BG button now has a extra-special Smart Select option that adds a helpful histogram pass.

Speaking of Auto Compute, that incredible tool is now a button that is centrally located and easy to access. We heard your feedback about how essential this feature is, and redesigned it as a one-click process for a speedier key.
Even background color with Adjust Light
We added controls to make Auto Compute even more accurate. Select the Adjust Light checkbox and watch as Primatte evens the background color and Auto Compute pulls an amazing key.

Primatte’s interface has been revamped with professionally designed buttons and better organization. We put the powerful but less used features in an Advanced section so your workflow is more streamlined. The new interface makes your keying efficient so you have more time to have fun compositing.
Fast extraction on difficult images
It’s great when you have good source footage, but often you don’t. Luckily, Primatte easily extracts tricky objects such as semi-transparent water, smoke, and hair. This lets you create a professional looking key every time, even in the most difficult situation.
Hybrid Matte for a clean key
The new Hybrid controls help fill the transparency gaps in your foreground matte, making a cleaner key. Its companion View mode, Hybrid Matte, provides important visual feedback as you work. Combined with the Speck and Hole alpha cleaners, Primatte has a superior set of tools to to combat problem footage with wrinkles, discoloration or uneven lighting.
Enhance DV and HD footage
Smooth out the matte edges with Deartifacting tools that treat all source footage from DV or HD cameras. Primatte’s de-artifacting removes blockiness and artifacts around the foreground edges caused by compression algorithms in the source format.
Remove difficult spill areas
Make unwanted areas of color spill disappear like magic. Tools like Spill Sponge, Matte Sponge, Spill Minus/Plus and Spill Killer give many ways to remove spill color without harming the original color of the pixels. Primatte corrects difficult spill situations like semi-transparent areas, edge fringe and motion blur, and has built-in spill suppression to prevent it from happening at all.
Fine tune the important details Over-correction happens, especially on chromakey footage that wasn’t shot properly. Primatte has essential tools like Restore Detail and Decrease Opacity for recovering details that get lost in the keying and correction process. This fine tuning is especially important in semi-transparent objects like hair, clothing and smoke.

Primatte Keyer Pro runs in a variety of host applications. Each purchase and serial number allows the owner to use the product on more than one host application but only on a single computer at any one time. Except where noted, the features are the same in all systems and host applications.
